Located in the established HOS development of Ka Shing Court (Ka Fai House), Fanling, this project features a spacious three-bedroom layout utilizing the classic New Cross Broad blueprint. Passing its 30-year milestone, the home's primary mandate was a rigorous safety fortification. The Cheung Hing engineering team stripped down and completely replaced all aging water and power conduits with premium modern concealed piping, combined with industrial-grade waterproofing in the utility wet zones. By locking down a rock-solid, invisible foundation, we secured absolute comfort and long-term peace of mind for the family.
Once the structural integrity was fortified, our designer addressed the homeowner's deep affinity for natural elements and meticulous organization. We re-engineered the spatial flow into a streamlined, "Modern Timber Sanctuary" built for absolute efficiency:
The crowning spatial triumph of this flat lies in the ultra-efficient layout of the kitchen and laundry utility zones. We purposefully integrated the dedicated laundry area right at the main entryway, creating an instant sanitization zone—allowing the owner to shed the outside world's dust and stress the moment they step inside. Furthermore, the entire utility hub is mathematically spaced; the homeowner can execute cooking and laundry cycles with fluid ease, completing domestic routines with just a simple pivot and minimal steps.
To fulfill the owner’s vision of cataloging their lifestyle while inviting a raw, organic warmth indoors, the residence features tailored light-toned bespoke timber carpentry across its entirety. Most brilliantly, at the threshold separating two bedrooms, the designer created a bespoke glass display cabinet to showcase the owner’s beloved curated collectibles. This cabinet features a "three-sided functional storage" configuration. By serving as both a high-capacity storage framework and a striking architectural room divider, it completely deletes the need for a rigid drywall partition, optimizing footprint efficiency to its absolute limit.
