Case Study Overview
Located in the coastal development of Ocean View, Ma On Shan, this flat originally featured a well-crafted interior adorned with charming French-patterned wallpapers. However, as lifestyles evolved, the new homeowner yearned for the unpretentious, organized serenity of a Japanese-inspired timber sanctuary. This desire set the stage for an incredible, high-contrast stylistic evolution.

With the property reaching 23 years of age, proactive infrastructure maintenance was crucial. The Cheung Hing engineering team kicked off the project with our signature rock-solid groundwork: overhauling the concealed plumbing and electrical conduits, and executing top-tier waterproofing while converting the old bathtub into a sleek, walk-in shower. The walls were finished with a premium, eco-friendly, low-allergen child-safe paint. A soft, pure white tone was chosen as the base layer, creating a clean backdrop for the bespoke light wood cabinetry.

Capitalizing on the flat’s natural assets—a spacious balcony and expansive viewing windows—our designer pulled the outside scenery indoors. Inspired by the surrounding sea and sky, we integrated organic, fluid, and wave-like curved silhouettes throughout the layout. These sweeping, continuous lines eliminate structural harshness and visual friction, allowing natural sunlight to merge with daily paths and creating an intensely therapeutic atmosphere.

To match the homeowner’s easy-going, minimalist philosophy, we engineered a highly sophisticated pre-planned power blueprint. To prevent messy, clustered power outlets from disrupting the tranquil timber walls, we strategically minimized visible wall plates. Instead, we installed hidden, movable track socket systems inside primary appliance cabinets. This intelligent engineering layout offers maximum device compatibility and future flexibility while keeping all cords out of sight. The result is a pure, fluid, and elementally honest home that feels utterly close to nature.
